Browsing the Internet, somewhere I read this phrase – “forget about resolution – it is more about biohacking now”. The first thing that struck my mind was – Am I Missing something important in my Growth Hacking strategy? After a lot of research, I came to the conclusion that, yes, a whole lot was missing, but not from my strategy, from my life.
That day and today, I feel more competent and enthusiastic about life. I live more! I act more! Plus, I give more!
For now, Biohacking has evolved to a whole new level, but for me, I stick to the DIY biohacking. It is simple, beneficial and fun to indulge in. You feel calm, composed, and energetic than ever. Ultimately, you are successful and more capable.
So, this was biohacking in my words. But how will you define it technically?
Logically, it is the desire of being the best version of yourself. And, if we go by the expert verdict, it is the art of becoming a superhuman. To be more particular, it is a more of a DIY self-biology. And, within a short period of time, you can improve your health dramatically.
No one is going to rule you or suggest anything, it’s you with the total command of your body. On a broader aspect, bio-hacking uses medical, nutritional, electronic, and physical techniques to manage the whole body. Some of the widely practiced techniques of biohacking include nootropic, magnetic implants, gene sequencing, etc.
Eventually, biohacking is based on the concept that whatever we put in our body has an impact on the output. So, if you want better output, improve the quality and quantity of the input.

The concept of biohacking as well as the DIY biology has its root in the early man. Well, this is quite predictable as human beings have had the traits of evolution since ever. The hunger for growth and utilization of everything possible makes us practice the best step. In the long run, this desire for growth is termed as Biohacking.
However, this term was coined around the 1988 era and from there gathered huge attention globally. In early 2005, it entered the San Francisco programmer community. Since then, it started grabbing the attention of the big programmers and inventors of the era. Finally, in 2008, the DIY bio organization was founded by Jason Bobe and Mackenzie Cowell.
That is not it, experts even claim that biohacking is somewhat related to the ideologies of “biopunk” and “transhumanist”.
It supported the belief that there is a need for improving the human condition with the help of modern technology. The whole idea was creating superior human beings.
Do Not Confuse Biohacking with Self-help
Search the web and you will find hundreds of self-help books there. Don’t get amused by it as it is not biohacking. Biohacking and self-help are two entirely different concepts. The former is a well-defined version of self-improvement; and self-improvement books or articles are nowhere a part of it.
At some level, it is the urge of taking actions that differentiate biohacking from the self-improvement practice. It is a rather serious technique of making big and small improvements.
